Application Process

Explore the different opportunities available through the Programs Menu of our Website. Visit and learn details about the programs you are interested in by attending Meet & Greets, Tech Expo, and/or Open House. Once open, complete the application thoroughly and submit it before the deadline. Talk to your home high school guidance counselor about scheduling and readiness. Students will be contacted once accepted into the program(s) of their choice. Any eligible student that applied and was not initially accepted is placed on a waiting list based on the Acceptance Criteria.

Students can apply for ONE program. If they change their mind, they must complete a new application, and must have a recorded visit for that program. The last application submitted by the deadline will be the one used.

Acceptance Criteria

GPA- shows commitment to learning and effort

Attendance- This is because of the hands-on nature of our programs as well as the fact that students attend the Forrest Center for 2 or 3 class periods each day

Discipline Record- This relates to safety and good decision-making.

Students’ scores are computer-generated based on this criterion and the top students from each high school are offered seats. (For example, if there are 18 spots available, the top 6 from each of the 3 high schools are accepted).
